So today, I got out of school and I went staight home. About 20 mins later... my dad arrived. Just the three of us adults talking about what to do with the whole HURRICANE deal. Mom suggested to stay. We're up north, and past I-10 freeway. Dad said that we should get everything NOW! So my car was already prepared, oil, fluids, gas, etc. All ready to go when its time to if we need to. My dad asked me to drive his truck *my old BIG BERTHA SUBURBAN!* I took it to the gas station to get filled up and an extra 5-gallon tank as well. There was a line... A MILE LONG! No exaggerating. I was there 1/2 hr waiting. But I got it. I've maintained my patience, keep my nerves controlled. I then went to run last minute errands for mom and dad. Water, plastic bags, etc. All ready to go. I got a quick taco to eat, and came home. Mom is taking care of the inside stuff... as far as food goes and getting that organized. Dad is in charge of the outdoors stuff. He put EVERYTHING in the back garage. I mean its jammed packed! to the roof. We wanted to get as much stuff done b4 the kids arrived. As the boys came home first... they helped dad out. I'm in charge of the cars, organization as far as making sure everything gets done. Locks and etc. I'm also the calm one.*go-figure* so I'm in charge of explaining it to the kidos.
So far we have it all done. Tomorrow all we will have to do by the afternoon time is board up the windows, the garage, place sandbags around the entrances to keep water from coming in... so far all done. Just tomorrow will be the last big things like that to do. We have also each packed one suitcase. In case for some reason, last minute we have to leave. Each adult *mom, dad, n me* will take a vehicle, and a kid. And take off. My dads cousin is on stand by. If we do decide to leave... it will be friday afternoon. *12ish or so* But the house all together is ready for everything. Pictures and good irreplaceable valuables are in boxes that are covered by plastic bags, and in a high shelve in closets.
No worries yet. Right now, I'm just really tired.
My body is ready to go to bed. I'm going to take a nap and wait up on my honey. The mayor says all officers are to work overtime. So yes... I'm worried. And I will make sure he's okay.
My phone is being charged. Phone calls are a little hard to make. He network is busy. But text messages are going through. Thanks guys for your prayers. I will keep you posted as long as I can. I will have pictures as well later. Nite Nite!
